Age of Judgement

It was shocking to read in newspaper headline that average time taken for a court case in India is 15 year.

No wonder why corruption is so wide spread and unending evil in Indian Society. People committing crime are taking benefit of this long drawn process of judicial system and playing with Law.

If the proposed initiative to set up 5000 new fast track court is materialised with an objective to reduce the judgement time from 15 years to 1 year by year 2012. If this objective is achieved I am sure Indian Society will get the much needed relief from corruption in Judicial and allied process related to Judicial and Police, Political system, politicians, and even masses will get a relief and hope to get the justice faster and in relevant time.

We will stop reading news like 20 lacs compensation paid to people who served jail for allegation of murder but eventually found that the person said to murdered found p living hail and hearty.

I welcome the proposed initiative like Gram Nyayalayas, 3 shift working for courts to clear the backlog of 2.75 crore legal cases, fixing of 6 month time frame a verdict from the date of filing of case till decision. Clubbing of Identical cases will also ease the pressure of pending cases.

The thought to providing Laptops to Trial court judges is a positive and much needed action. This will certainly help them to act fast and effectively.

On the whole the propose initiatives are great and needed to be welcome by all of us. I am sure these efforts will help India more progressive and pressure of corruption can be checked.
