Not learning from Traditions

In India, we are so busy following western practices and rules forgetting almost better traditions of our own culture. Be it eduaction system, life style, management of companies, buiness entities OR administration of nation as a whole or administration of small units like villages.

Today i want to remind my readers the age old system of Guptchars or say local intelligence. we are lacking this system amidst development of many latest systems taking help of many complicated gadgets. But despite all these latest technological developments Security and Safety of our nation is very weak. Analysis of major security breaches and terror incidents tell that the very basic inofrmation system of local intelligence was at fault.

I see it as a very simple logic to develop local intelligence system more robust and functional at all levels and take benefit of system used since ancient times in India.

Success makes you humble. Who said it ?

Yes, who said it ? Success makes you humble seems to be a proverb of yester years. No a days small time players with almost negligible recognition and successes feel themselves apart from this world.

They need special treatment beyond public eyes, but once on stage and other wise you can not stand their tantrums.

It’s not a matter of small time politicians, Filmi Hero and Heroines of bollywood OR Hollywood. Probably it is first step of stardom. These people feel themselves beyond law of the land.

There are Nth examples of such behaviours of our celebrities. The recent brouhaha over SRK’s detention at US airport is one latest example. If you treat yourself a god citizen you should not feel uncomfortable in following law of the land.

Why you need special treatment, why you need privileges? You, in fact, are not doing any social good, as an actor or player you are paid HEFTY pay cheques. I wonder why Sachin Tendulkar needs exemption in custom duty for his sports car when he can pay that easily. Why Sharukh Khan or Amitabh Bachhan should be treated above security rules of any country.

As a good citizen we or they should never ask for such privileges, IF success makes you humble it is good. Because, people will admire you more and will look up to you as a person with exemplary deeds. Why to cut short your image by small incidents like this.

Unsporting Indian Cricketers

It is really very unfortunate to observe that Indian cricketers, who are treated as Gods, act as self cantered people. Perhaps they all need BIG Money But no Responsibilities even smaller ones.

Recent uproar on WADA guidelines is the latest example of their “I am different” approach. The reasons given by them as their concerns in following WADA guidelines for 'Implementing an Effective Whereabouts Program’ look immature and unprofessional.

They want to earn BIG money from sports but are reluctant to come forward to help bring transparency and act for the betterment of the system. When all other leading Sports persons are agreeing and following these rules with no privacy concern, I wonder what harm it could do to cricketers.

A sport person is treated as a disciplined person who is open to challenges and a person who keeps on stretching his limits to perform better and better. But our Indian lot of cricketers seems to be of different class of sports persons who are more concerned with their personal benefits and comforts more than setting examples by following rules that are in benefits of Sports. A very un-professional and unsporting attitude.
