Parenting - the trend of neglecting Child

In todays' competitive world people are becoming more and more career oriented. They are keen to establish themselves first in their repective area of profession and only after attanin the desired level only these boys or girls are planning for thier marriage and have family.

This career orientation of younger geeration has raised the average marriageable age to 27-30 years for boy and 25 to 28 years for girls. Getting marriage at these ages is not called late marriage as comparied to late 60s and 70s.

For these career oriented people kids are also not first priority, as mostly they want just one kid and that too after enjoying married life for 2-3 after marriage. So they get thier first child almost in early 30s. Again kid needs time and personal care from parents.

But most of the time these parent avoid or neglect the basic human bonding with their kid due to extream office pressure or ignorance due to lack of joint families.

They want to earn and collect maximum before marriage, birth of a child and even after for many milestones of life, but they lack the human caring and sharing.

young parents should know earning big money is important for many other aspects of life. but a kid need time of parent first than money and other material comforts.

We should think of this current shift in Parening of young couples/ parents.

  1. Well, I believe that you have raised a very interesting point, but don't you think that it is just the tip of the iceberg?

Mostly, the professional milestones do come in lieu of the personal life. The feeling of being content is lost in the wild and one doesn't dare enter there. A consistent yearn of achievement, of course, propels one forward, but where is it taking us?
